Bebop Spoken There

Jazzmeia Horn: "Sometimes my grandmother visits me in my dreams when I feel like I want to give up or I'm too tired, just for inspiration and encouragement." - (Jazzwise, Dec., Jan., 2019/20).

Guisborough Big Band SATNAV Concert this Friday

Guisborough Big Band in concert, a fundraising night in aid of Saltburn Against Turbine Noise And Vibration (SATNAV), at Saltburn Golf Club on Friday, 6th July, 8.00 – 11.00.
Tickets at £7.00 are available from Destination, Saltburn, 01287 626432, or pay at the door.
We’re still fending off plans to build X4 300ft wind turbines on prime farmland between Saltburn and Marske and putting together a ‘fighting fund’ in case we need professional legal advice.
The turbines would have a huge negative impact on Saltburn visually and would dominate the town.  The nearest turbine to residential property is only 900 meters away.  The rest of Europe impose a 2Km buffer zone between turbines and residential properties.
Adrian Beadnell.
(Editors note: I don't normally align myself with controversial non jazz subjects whether I agree with them or not however, as I just loved the photo - particularly the trombone player - on this occasion my sightless eye has been rotated.)
