As 2025 draws to a close it's a time for me to reflect and thank all of those who have posted and drew my attention to jazz happenings at home and abroad so let's hear it for Russell and Patti, Sylvia T, Colin Muirhead, Dave Sayer, Jerry Edis, Steve T, newcomers Glenn Wright and Richard Morris, Mike Farmer and Jeff Pritchard from way out west, Ron Hampton, Peter Bevan and Ian Hodgson from way down south (Teesside) plus ace snappers Ken Drew, Malcolm Sinclair, Mike Tilley, John Lyon and Pam Y.
Nick Mondello's reviews and interviews from New York, Denny Farrell's frequent mentions on Late Night Chicago Radio, Sebastian Scotney's UK Jazz News, Paul Bream's Jazz Alert newsletter, Wes Stephenson and JNE, Maurice Summerfield, Roly Veitch and, of course, the hardworking Jazz Co-op team who strive to present an interesting and varied programme across the genres at the Globe.
Finally let's not forget Dave Clarke who did so much to promote and support jazz in the north east. Dave passed on Sept. 2. Lance
