2. Lauren Bush: Tide Rises (Mighty Quinn)
3. Chris Ingham: Hoagy II (Downhome Records)
4. Zoe Francis: Somewhere in the Night (Diving Duck Recordings)
5. Hannah Gill: Everybody Loves a Lover (Turtle Bay |Records)
6. Allan Harris: Live at Blue Llama Jazz Club (Love Records)

10. Jo Harrop/Paul Edis: When Winter Turns to Spring (Lateralize)*
*Jo's album came out at the back end of 2022 so its inclusion is open to debate. Plus, as I've only heard a couple of tracks - which are excellent - it would be unfair to push it up closer to the top where it probably belongs.
These, of course, are my personal choices based solely upon the albums I receive for review. Your own lists are welcome. Lance

I can't give a list of albums but there is one CD I'd like to mention. I went to the Georgia Cecile/Fraser Urquhart 'Lit & Phil' concert earlier in the year. Didn't know what to expect. Loved their concert and choice of material. On the way out I bought their new duo CD 'Sure of You' and was totally blown away by the album. Wonderful singing, such sensitive accompaniment and quite a few lovely and moving songs I'd not heard before. The whole CD tells a story too. I usually play CDs in the car (yes it's an old car) and I've played it through endlessly. An absolute gem.
