That was the evening gig held to complement a series of jazz workshops held in Newcastle that year Ian S was at that time studying music and was actually one of the workshop attendees and caught the attention of John Etheridge and was asked to play. The bass player was Lewis Evans another local musician studying music at the time. The keyboard player was Michael Garrick.
Just came across this....... knew Ian Stronach well in the mid to late 70’s. A regular at the Glebe Folk and Blues club and jam sessions at the Derry in Sunderland. Even as a teenager he was the most amazing guitarist and totally self taught. Native of Ryhope. Great lad. Lost contact in the mid 80’s.
