This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) Reviewers wanted

Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. Zoe for London Jazz Festival.

Last year it was the face of Emma Fisk beaming up at you from the EFG website and this year it's another of our leading ladies, strawberry-blond bombshell Zoe Gilby, accompanied purely coincidentally by our very own innovative bass blaster Andy Champion.
Her natural warmth and charisma, not to mention a healthy dose of North East charm, and very much the classier end of the scale, ensure she's perfect for hosting a kids’ event in the Capital. The sessions are for age 5+ and are always popular and amongst the first to sell out each year and I know they'll both be fabulous.
Tickets are on sale from 10am on Friday 8th July priced £5 - £10.
The performance is at Cadogan Hall on Saturday November 12th from 2pm to 3pm.

London? A local gig for these two - End of this month they're booked to play at the Roland Jazz Festival in Romania - hopefully before Article 50 is brought into play!
