Death of Jim Marshall aged 88.

The inventor of the Marshall Amplifier - Jim Marshall has passed away aged 88. When I worked in a Newcastle music shop every new amp that came out was compared with the Marshall range - not many did.
The rock guitarists heaven was a Marshall stack - maybe it still is. I actually met Jim Marshall at one of the BMI trade fairs and found him to be an affable easy to talk to guy.
