Switzerland's Nicolas Meier, long-since resident in England, has been live streaming from his garden shed on a regular basis. This afternoon at two o'clock, Meier played the first of two sets in the company of tenor saxophonist Kelvin Christian and bassist Marianne Windham. As the sun streamed in through the window, Meier's ad hoc trio kicked off a Joe Henderson set with Isotope. 

All three musicians were in the guitarist's 'Garden Studio' shed but, for some reason, Meier was seen in a split-screen arrangement, Christian and Windham to the right of the screen, Meier to the left. Perhaps it was the camera set-up, perhaps a matter of social-distancing. Whatever the reason, the trio hit it off, tenor man Christian the Henderson disciple, Meier happy to accommodate. From the jam session staple Recorda Me to Black Narcissus to the set closing On a Clear Day, solos and occasional fours were traded in a non-competitive manner, nods and smiles the order of the day.
