Whilst BSH attempts to cover as many gigs, festivals and albums as possible, to make the site even more comprehensive we need more 'boots on the ground' to cover the albums seeking review - a large percentage of which never get heard - report on gigs or just to air your views on anything jazz related. New Year, New Lockdown, New Music.

If you missed this gig on Tuesday night (we nearly did!), you missed a treat! Ten or more numbers, all originals, some dating back to the “noughties”, some which were world premieres. Influences ranged from Jobim to Hefti, Strayhorn to Chopin (?) – something there for everyone – and all impeccably performed. Cometh the lockdown, cometh the doctor!

Asked if these might be regular gigs – once a fortnight, perhaps? – the answer was “definitely, maybe”. Watch this space…….

I've just been able to watch this - the day after - but it was still live. What a superb session of original compositions - beautifully paced, and played by Maestro Paul. A real treat.
