Sad news from Keswick

This year's Keswick Jazz & Blues Festival got underway with the sad news that trombonist Roy Williams has had to withdraw for health reasons. Fortunately, Jim Douglas who is a regular visitor reports that there was a marked improvement on his last visit possibly helped by the many get well soon posts.
We send him our kindest thoughts.

I used to go to the Fishmongers to listen to Alex Welsh. While Roy Crimmins was no slouch on trombone, when Roy Williams joined the band it was a revelation. To quote Lennie Hastings "Ooyah Ooyah! "
