Bebop Spoken There

Dave Puddy: "Eventually we paid our entrance money [to Eel Pie Island] and fought our way to one of the many bars where we could buy our Newcastle Brown and retire to the back of the heaving dancefloor. There must have been lights somewhere, but my memory remains of being in some dark cavernous wonderland." - (Just Jazz July 2020)

Dave Rempis:Ten years from now, I can see musicians streaming concerts in real time and charging a minimal amount for people to watch.” - (DownBeat September 2013)

The Things They Say!

Hudson Music: Lance's "Bebop Spoken Here" is one of the heaviest and most influential jazz blogs in the UK.

Rupert Burley (Dynamic Agency): "BSH just goes from strength to strength".

Preview: Indigo Jazz Voices @ The Globe - April 11

David Edgar, Barry Keatings, Miriam McCormick, Jenny Lingham, Jen Errington, Carrie McCullock (individual vocals); Alan Law (piano); Andy Champion (bass); Rob Walker (drums)

Yes folks, it’s the 2-monthly showcase for these fine vocalists, and this time they’re accompanied by three of the region’s most talented instrumentalists on piano, bass and drums. Get yourselves along to the Globe this coming Thursday at 7.30pm to hear songs such as April In Paris; Moondance; Ain’t Misbehavin; All Of Me. If you’re there you’ll have No More Blues, or rather you will, because that’s also one of the songs to be sung. It’s £5 admission, well worth the price. See you there!
