Bebop Spoken There

Georgia Cécile: "For me, whether it's an instrumentalist or a singer, they have to be telling a story." - (JazzWisee July 2020).

Dave Rempis:Ten years from now, I can see musicians streaming concerts in real time and charging a minimal amount for people to watch.” - (DownBeat September 2013)

The Things They Say!

Hudson Music: Lance's "Bebop Spoken Here" is one of the heaviest and most influential jazz blogs in the UK.

Rupert Burley (Dynamic Agency): "BSH just goes from strength to strength".

11,635 (and counting) posts since we started blogging just over 12 years ago. 770 of them this year alone and, so far, 34 this month (July 9).

As we all know there are no live gigs taking place in the immediate future. However, any links to jazz streaming that are deemed suitable - i.e. with a professional approach - will be considered for posting.

The Jazz Police @ Monument, Newcastle - Feb 11

There he was, sitting in the sunshine, minding his own business, blowing alto, improvising to his heart's content when the local constabulary sped past, horns blaring DO DAH DO DAH DO DAH DO DAH. Paul Ruddick didn't miss a beat, seamlessly incorporating a DO DAH DO DAH DO DAH DO DAH phrase into the number he was blowing on. Priceless, honest guv'nor.
