You Can See Miles Ahead

The 2016 Glasgow Film Festival is to screen Don Cheadle’s biopic of Miles Davis. Actor and director Cheadle plays the late, great trumpeter opposite Ewan McGregor’s journalist character Dave Brill. Miles Ahead is described as… ‘a journey through aspects of Davis’ life and loves, self-destructive urges and creative genius,’ with the film largely set in post Bitches Brew 1970s America. The soundtrack is supervised by Robert Glasper.
The Glasgow Film Theatre will screen Miles Ahead twice. First on Saturday 20 February at 21:00 and on Sunday 21 at 12:45. Selected as a ‘Glasgow Film Festival 2016 Audience Award Nominee’ Don Cheadle’s 1h 40m film is up for the public vote. Miles Ahead will be released nationwide on 1 April. It’s sure to be at your local art house cinema sometime soon thereafter. If you see the film at the Glasgow Film Festival vote Miles Ahead!
