This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) CD Review – I Love you Too Much by Elly Kouri

Elly Kouri started out as a rock singer but has lately turned to jazz and recently released her first Jazz CD "I Love You Too Much" (available on Amazon as CD or MP3 download).  Elly has brought together a collection of beautiful and intimate songs exhibiting several aspects of love including soothing reminiscence, heartbreak,  hope and just a spark of fire!

Elly Kouri has a pleasant Jazz voice and her sense of rhythm is excellent as she sings in a communicative and intimate way… this is lovely background music for an intimate dinner or a winter night cuddled up with your loved one and a bottle of wine in front of a roaring fire.
the tracks are as follows: Can't We Be Friends; Billie's Blues; I Love You Too Much; The Second Time Around; Do I Move You; Weep No More; Tra La La; The Blues Are Brewin'; Solitude; Please Send Me; Someone To Love; Softly; Tomorrow Is My Turn; If We Never Meet Again.
I particularly like the title track, I Love You Too Much, a beautiful - If We Never Meet Again and her sensitive interpretation of Weep No More.  A CD to add to your collection!
