Anyone remember Al Haig at the Corner House around 1980?
He was playing with the Scott Adair band.
Back then, the Corner House was noted for its dead accoustics and Scott used to try and overcome this by using a WEM Copicat echo unit.
The copicats resembled a mini tape recorder and Al Haig, convinced he was being illegally recorded, refused to play until it was switched off.
Scotty switched it off and Al then preceded to play some of the best modern piano ever heard at the venue!
