The death of singer Natalie Cole at the age of 65 has come as a shock to her many fans, not least to myself. Like her dad, she was a class act able to absorb his impeccable taste into her own persona.

Which only leaves her uncle Freddie, aged 84, the last surviving member of this marvelous musical dynasty.
Yes, a gorgeous voice - if I believed in the bible and the afterlife, I'd like to think she will be singing heavenly duets with her velvet voiced father.
