Love is like a Double Bass

Hil has informed me that she is pleased to announce the news that her daughter Zoe (Gilby) has become engaged to local bass supremo Andy Champion. May their happiness be undiminished (even augmented!) Lance.

Thank you for your kind comments Lance.

They are both so in love and very happy together. Known each other now for about 6 yrs as friends but only been an item for 15 months.

Who said romance is dead?...;o) its very much alive in bonny Cullercoats.

I am lucky to be gaining a lovely son-in-law who I know will take care of my precious daughter.

Hilary (who hasn't stopped smiling)

There's a long jazz history of bassist/vocalist marriages from Ray Brown and Ella Fitzgerald to Geoff Gascoyne and Trudy Kerr.

I'm sure there's more, but Andy and Zoe are my favourites in the North East. Congratulations.
