sounds like another good night Lance, does she tour with her band?

A splendid night. For updates on Zoë's gigs click on the link at bottom of page - "Zoë's Place"
Indeed another great night from Zoë, whose interpretation of songs comes up fresh each time I hear her.
I know that there is talk of a national tour for her, as there is for David Carnegie's superb quintet Extreme Measures. With Indo-Jazz quartet Free Spirits winning a Promoters' Choice award last year (which also gets them a national tour), and Andy Champion's electronic duo Chikon having recently played a gig in London, the North East jazz scene is really starting to make its mark outside the region.
And there's hardly a week goes by without another exciting young band emerging. As Wordsworth wrote about the French Revolution: "Bliss was it in that dawn to be alive". Spot on, William.
It's good to see so many young bands and singers emerging both locally and nationally.
