It's Record Store Day...again!

The music biz has taken a bit of a battering this past year and more, the retail sector included. Independent record shops have responded with a series of 'Record Store Day' events. Usually an annual event, it's a case of 'needs must'. So, the weather is set fair, why not head into town and bag a 'must have' if not a bargain? At or near the top of the new jazz releases just has to be the Roland Kirk album recorded at Ronnie Scott's in 1963. Stan Tracey, Malcolm Cecil and Ronnie Stephenson were on the date, regardless of the audio quality, this one could be considered 'essential'. Russell
