Lance, Lol Wells was generally the number 1 on Teesside, for many years ,there are many accolades coming in to me from all the other muso's. He played a lot with Mick Donnelly, Ray Chester, The Bush Band, All the Darlington Big and small bands, He was always my lead and a good arranger. One of his claims to fame and this is from Ray Dales himself, is that " He taught me to play". Lol was still teaching sax, and theory, up to his " going to the coda" for the last time. The arrangements are unknown as yet. I will let you know asap.
