This is a good opportunity to say thanks to BSH for their support of the jazz scene in the North East (and beyond) - it's no exaggeration to say that if it wasn't for them many, many fine musicians, bands and projects across a huge cross section of jazz wouldn't be getting reviewed at all, because we're in the "desolate"(!) We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone for their kind words and support which helped make yesterdays funeral of our father, Marshall bearable. We know that Marshall would have been very proud of the day and of his musician friends (pals). We would like to say a very special thank you to Lance and Brian for their help in choosing the correct 'Jazz' number and for the speech which was written and read so well. The memories that were shared helped lift the mood on the day. This Bebop web site is an excellent idea and Marshall would have loved reading all the posts that are on it. Take care and keep enjoying your music Andrew and Louise Walker
