Sad news. A few years back I was listening to Russell Davies on BBC Radio 2 and on came this track. 'A hundred years from today' with a lovely, warm singer and a delightful, quirky clarinettist. It was a total delight. I just thought 'Who is this - must find out! It made quite an impact. That was my introduction to Rebecca Kilgore and Bobby Gordon with his trio. I sent off for the CD 'Harlem Butterfly' in remembrance of Maxine Sullivan. Its one of the nicest jazz CDs I've ever heard.
