I caught this item by accident on Monday 6th at 9.45-10am,
and it continues each weekday until Friday. It’s all about Nina Simone, who was
born into relative poverty, mother a preacher, a gospel singing background. She
was taught piano by an Englishwoman, and she faced the usual sort of problems
of racism. It will be of great interest to BSH readers, especially singers, and
you can probably catch missed episodes on iPlayer.
