Ike was regarded as an absolute master of guitar harmony. He was much repected by Joe Pass, Martin Taylor, Esmond Selwyn and many others and indeed seems to have had a guru like reputation as regards application of advanced harmonic principles to the guitar. I believe he moved out to Australia in later life and that Martin Taylor visted him, whenever he could. I remember his harmony lessons were in Crescendo magazine for many years.
