y some strange coincidence I was searching Tony Levin on youtube these last few days. According to this link (Mr Levin's record label), I had been waiting for the release of some of these albums for quite some time now. It was Joyology that was brought to my attention by Lee Goodall as I exchanged mails with him a while back. And I wondered what had transpired. I hope these records can make it to the public. Some worthy recordings there. Sad news...

I was at Gateshead Old Town Hall and it was magnificent, as were all the prior occasions that I had seen Tony in Newcastle and over at the Appleby Jazz Festival. I have the immense pleasure of having witnessed Tony and Bryan Spring playing a two piece drum set which goes down in my mind as one of the finest performances I have ever seen and heard. I spoke to Tony on quite a few occasions and he was always friendly and smiling, a truly warm character. He will be missed. Thanks for the music Tony you certainly enhanced my life for the better.
